Medical Aesthetics Convention – August 2015 at Gallagher Convention Centre 14 September 2015 Johannesburg’s Medical Aesthetics Convention held on the 29 and 30th August 2015 at Gallagher Convention was well received by the delegates. Dr Melanie Lambrecht’s micro needling lecture and Dr Judey Pretorius’s cosmeceutical ingredient analysis lectures were some of the highlights on Saturday. Many of the delegates expressed an interest in learning this new technique. Sunday was kick started with Dr Cobus van Niekerk’s lecture on how to go about selecting the correct filler for your practice. The day was finished off with Ulundi Behrtel clarifying to delegates the best way they should go about setting up their aesthetic practices in order for all parties namely the doctors and aesthetic therapist involved to be adequately protected from litigation if something was to go wrong during  a treatment. The dates for Cape Town and Johannesburg’s Medical Aesthetics convention 2016 have been announced and bookings for the Cape Town event will be opening shortly. The two day event will be a CPD- accredited convention for medical practitioners, dentists and staff of aesthetic practices. Part of the conference will also include business lectures offering advice on the best way to run a practice, industry challenges and the latest trends and innovations.
